The Totally Cool Tech Podcast will celebrate it’s 1 year Anniversary on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008. Wow! Most podcasts don’t get to one year, much less over 100 episodes. I’ve been able to achieve about 264 podcasts in 1 year.

Doing a daily podcast is not easy but it sure is fun. I have enjoyed doing this podcast and plan on continuing until my lips fall off, the listeners leave, or the family shoots the podcast rig. But hey, don’t worry about that. I actually have a request of you and will be giving you something in return.

I have a listener survey that I would like you to fill out.

LISTENER SURVEY LINK

Nothing will be released, sold, bartered, given out, or divulged to anyone. I will be the only person reviewing the survey results. I just want to know how I’m doing and what you want out of this podcast in the future.

In return I will be giving away (6) Prizes; (2) 4-Gig San Disk Cruiser Micro Thumb Drives, (3) $10 Gift Cards to Best Buy or iTunes (your call), and the Top Prize, a $25 Gift card to Best Buy or iTunes (once again, your call). The winners will be drawn at random from entries received. Ending date for entries will be midnight Pacific Daylight Time, on October 22, 2008. The winners will be announced on the show for Friday, October 24, 2008. All winners will be contacted by the email provided to verify winning status and selection of prize if applicable.

If you have any questions, please contact me at tctpodcast@gmail.com. All emails will be verified by myself. No information will be divulged. I will be the sole selector of the winners by a random selection process, which may involve my family picking the valid emails out of a hat. Just so you know.

So go fill out the survey and hope for the best! Thanks for listeneing, you have all been great and I look forward to another great year.

Today’s Totally Cool Tech: Aegis Mobility’s DriveAssist (via DVICE )

Mobile phones have become an important part of our everyday life.  Mobile devices are now our primary communications technology, and many expect these devices to soon replace the computer as our primary internet portal as well.  As more people use mobile phones for voice, texting and other data functions, the threat posed by performing these activities while operating a motor vehicle will continue to increase.

Aegis Mobility has developed DriveAssist, an advanced call management technology for mobile networks that gives parents and corporations the ability to stay in touch with their teens or employees respectively, while minimizing or eliminating mobile phone use while driving.
