We are slowly approaching the “Can’t Live Without” end of the top 10 list. Filling the number 5 spot is the Cordless Phone. I currently have two cordless phones. One that is significantly older and does not have special functions and one that is newer that allows for hands free operation. In our house, the cordless phone has achieved the same status as the TV remote. I will spend 10 minutes looking for the cordless phone, walking by the corded one many times in the process. Long ago, I realized that I think on my feet. While talking to someone on the phone, I have been known to walk in and out of every room in my house. The phone I use most often is the Uniden PowerMax5.8GHz. Its a great little phone with only a few extra features to get in the way.

A little side note: If you have a wireless network, you should use 5.8 GHz phones. The standard 2.8GHz range is the same as most wireless network devices.
