Today’s Totally Cool Tech: The Plexidor Automatic Electronic Pet Door$697+ @ DogDoors.com
PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Its the Star Trek like pet door that opens automatically just before your dog gets to the door. Sweet! No not really, but it won’t let the cat in. We love that here at my house.

How does it work? Well the PlexidorTM Electronic “reads” the RFID chip key code from the tag on your dog’s collar and opens the door for your pet. The panel unlocks and slides up like a mini garage door or like the doors on Star Trek but with out the “Woosh!”. The door plugs into household outlet or can be hardwired.
